Hit-and-run collision leads to drunk driving charges for 1 man

A 62-year-old man has recently been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a recent motor vehicle accident in New York in which he allegedly fled the scene. Leaving the scene of a collision is never advisable, and may only increase suspicion of wrong-doing among investigating officers. According to reports, police responded to reports of a hit-and-run accident on a recent Friday. Police also claim the man’s blood alcohol level was well over the legal limit, although no information was provided as to how this was information was obtained. It is also unclear how authorities came to believe the man was involved in the collision. He is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident, including aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
