MOTOR VEHICLE

A 29-year-old Brentwood union carpenter received a settlement of $425,000 for a fractured wrist and neck injury, which occurred when he fell from an unsafe scaffold at a job site constructing a large box store. He returned to work full-time less than eight months after the accident.

A 33-year-old Nassau County union carpenter received $245,000 for neck injuries he suffered when he fell through an unsafe floor opening at a job site. He was able to return to work as a union carpenter within 4 months of his accident.

MISCELLANEOUS

A 42-year-old Mahopac man received $155,000 for neck and shoulder injuries he received when his boat was struck by a reckless boater on Lake Mahopac. The reckless boater was towing a water skier at night when his boat t-boned our client’s boat, causing property damage and injuries.

A 38-year-old Rockland man received $325,000 for back injuries he suffered when a tree from his neighbor’s property fell on him. Our client was observing the neighbor attempt to remove large tree limbs without proper equipment.

A 7-year-old boy received a settlement whose value exceeds $300,000 for serious and permanent scarring to his left arm. The little boy, while waiting for his mom at a church service, tripped and fell and his arm went through a plate glass window in the entrance door, which had been constructed in violation of the building code.

A 76-year-old Bronx woman received $150,000 settlement for hip injuries suffered when she tripped and fell at a jewelry store on a poorly repaired carpet.
